Held Nov. 5-7 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, the KI booth (#1725) will serve as a living model of the 8 Performance Design Considerations, a framework that connects physical space to student outcomes. Each zone within the booth illustrates one of these principles, showing how thoughtful design can spark comfort, curiosity, and connection across all types of learners.

“Every table, chair, and surface tells a story about purpose,” said Bryan Ballegeer, vice president of sales and marketing, education markets. “This booth brings that purpose to life, showing how thoughtful furniture design can turn classrooms into spaces that truly support growth, collaboration, and belonging.”

Product Highlights at EDspaces 2025

The booth’s design principles extend directly into the products on display. From classroom seating to outdoor solutions, every piece reflects a commitment to environments that balance beauty, flexibility, and performance for today’s learners.

  • Clamber Tiered Seating – A flexible seating solution that promotes collaboration and connection, now featuring integrated storage.
  • Cogni Seating – Movement-friendly chairs sized for every learner, available in expressive two-tone options that bring energy to the classroom.
  • Outspan Outdoor Seating – Durable, multipurpose pieces designed to extend learning beyond the classroom walls.
  • Natural Wood Tops from Purposeful Design – Sustainably crafted worksurfaces that bring warmth and authenticity to select Tributaire tables, produced in partnership with Purposeful Design, a nonprofit providing skills training and rehabilitation for individuals overcoming homelessness and addiction.

Inside the Booth: Every Learner, Every Profile, Every Possibility

The KI exhibit is framed by “Portraits of a Learner,” a visual storytelling experience that celebrates the individuality of every student. Each portrait illustrates how design supports the unique ways learners think, move, and grow.

Throughout the booth, visitors can explore how the 8 Performance Design Considerations (accessibility, environmental comfort, ergonomics and movement, multisensory modulation, physical safety, emotional safety and belonging, community and connection, and sustainability and stewardship) translate into tangible outcomes for students and educators alike.

Our booth was designed to be felt as much as seen,” said Emily McGinnis, K-12 market manager.” “When visitors step into the booth, I want them to feel what students feel in a well-designed classroom—comfortable, curious, and connected.”

Beyond the Booth: Learning, Connection, and Collaboration

The KI experience doesn’t end at the booth. During EDspaces, the company will take part in events, installations, and discussions that highlight its commitment to supporting educators, students, and the design community through meaningful collaboration.
