CHEP named Elite Winner in 2022 National Best and Brightest Company to Work For®

Organization recognized above hundreds of companies nationwide for employee enrichment, engagement and retention

CHEP, a leader in sustainable supply chain solutions, announces its recognition as a 2022 National Best and Brightest Company to Work For® Elite winner in the employee enrichment, engagement and retention category. This year, CHEP joins 13 Elite winners, each representing a different award category related to workplace excellence. This honor follows CHEP’s local recognition by Best and Brightest as a 2022 Elite winner in Atlanta.

The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® award program highlights companies with exceptional human resource practices and an impressive commitment to their employees. Participants are assessed in categories including communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity and more.

Amber Cantu, CHEP North America’s Vice President of Human Resources, said, “At CHEP, we prioritize understanding our employees and what they value in the workplace to deliver meaningful benefits and opportunities. In North America and globally, we recognize employees’ individuality and empower them to be their authentic selves daily. We proudly foster a collaborative culture built around development programs, well-being initiatives, employee resource groups and networking – all meant to grow and enable our teams.”

CHEP offers its employees numerous opportunities to learn new skills, interact with others and create building blocks for a successful career. For example, employees have access to a suite of academic courses for continued learning, are provided three days of paid volunteer leave per year for community engagement and are supported through the company’s well-being initiative, Feel Good.

Additionally, CHEP has developed a comprehensive set of goals and metrics related to workforce demographics, culture and policy to ensure accountability in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. This includes fostering employee resource groups for Veterans; LGBTIQ+ employees; Black, African-American and Caribbean employees; Women; employees with disabilities; and Latinx employees. CHEP also offers women-centered development opportunities, focused on increasing skills and ensuring a gender-balanced talent pipeline. In 2022, the company achieved 33% of women in management roles and recently reached its target of 40% female representation on its Board, more than two years ahead of plan.

"The companies that made the Elite list of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® in the Nation are truly remarkable. Given today's need for the workplace and issues related to the pandemic, these companies have proven they are superior to market conditions. They are elite thinkers, and this honor demonstrates their commitment to excellence,” said Jennifer Kluge, President and CEO, National Association for Business Resources and the Best and Brightest Programs.

The National Best and Brightest Elite Award is the latest in the company’s string of recognitions over the last 12 months. CHEP was recently named to the National Diversity Council Index and Seramount Inclusion Index. In addition, CHEP was accredited as a 2023 Global Top Employer for the very first time in 2023, while retaining Top Employer status in North America.
