Floyd Brothers, Former Miss USA and More Join SHRM Speakers Bureau

SHRM (the Society for Human Resource Management) has announced that Philonise and Rodney Floyd—brothers of George Floyd—and former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst, will join a roster of top-tier professional voices as part of the SHRM Speakers Bureau. Their galvanizing presentations will tackle the topics of diversity, equity and inclusion; workplace culture; and other encompassing workplace issues.

The Floyd Brothers tell powerful stories about justice and call for workplaces and a world free from bias and inequity. Kryst, an attorney and Emmy-nominated correspondent, shares her passion for criminal justice reform and her work with Dress for Success and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

The SHRM Speakers Bureau offers a wide variety of speakers with thought leadership and expertise on the most pressing workplace issues of today and the future, and acts as a premier partner to SHRM chapters nationwide.

“Now more than ever, we must hold our workplaces accountable by urging important conversations that move the needle on today’s issues,” said Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP, SHRM President and CEO. “The SHRM Speakers Bureau brings global audiences the knowledge and strategies employers and employees need to succeed—and thrive—today and in the future.”

Other new additions to the SHRM Speakers Bureau include news anchor Starla Sampaco and Louis Lessig, Esq. Sampaco is the founder of Career Survival Guide, a communications consultant and an event emcee who supports the success of women and people of color in the workplace. Lessig is a partner with the law firm Brown & Connery, LLP, with a concentration in labor and employment litigation, counseling, negotiations and training.

“As the workplace continues to change, organizations across the globe are eager to hear from seasoned professionals on how to navigate a changing landscape successfully,” said Kathy Harris, Director, SHRM Speakers Bureau. “The SHRM Speakers Bureau offers influential speakers with keen and unique insights into workplace issues—touching everything from leadership, culture and talent to diversity, equity and inclusion.”
