Outstanding Teacher Winners Announced!

NASHVILLE, TN / ACCESS Newswire / May 6, 2025 / Ponce Law is proud to announce the winners of this year's Outstanding Teacher Contest. For seven years, teachers from all over Tennessee have been honored for making a difference in the lives of others by inspiring students, sharing knowledge, and developing their love of learning. Each April, the Outstanding Teacher Contest sponsored by Ponce Law allows community members to vote online for their favorite teacher for 3 weeks.

This year, there were exactly 2,000 votes, and 300 individual teachers were chosen by the nominators as Outstanding Teachers. All 300 teachers will receive Outstanding Teacher Certificates and the top 50 with the most votes will receive a swag bag full of goodies from Ponce Law.

This year, the firm also added a separate division for Pre-K, recognizing that students who learn to love school and have a desire to learn at an early stage start their education at an advantage. Chelsea Moore from Bransford Early Learning Center is the winner for the 2025 Top Pre-K Teacher and recipient of $250.

Ponce Law gives monetary awards to the top ten teachers. The 1st through 5th place winners will receive $500 each and the 6th through 10th place winners will receive $100 each. Additionally, the school with the most cumulative votes for all its teachers will receive $1,000.

  • In first place with 200 votes is Jeff Gregory of Goodlettsville Elementary.

  • 2nd place is Leslie Fisher of Hendersonville High School.

  • 3rd place is Teresa Fleak of Goodlettsville Elementary.

  • 4th place is Elizabeth Menchaca of Pennington Elementary.

  • 5th place is Dr. Giovanna Diffenback of Overbrook Catholic High.

  • 6th place is Cecilia Gover of Tusculum Elementary School.

  • 7th place is Bethany Stepleton of White House High School.

  • 8th place is Lucas Hilliard of White House High School

  • 9th place is Abby Sanders of Gallatin High School.

  • 10th place winner is Danielle Villafana of White House High School.

The Pre-K winner and our top 10 winners will all be invited for a special reception at Ponce Law to celebrate their win.

The award for top school is usually one school with the most votes, but this competition's second-place school for votes had more teachers nominated than any other school. Ponce Law decided to award both schools. The first-place school, Goodlettsville Elementary School in Goodlettsville, TN will receive $1,000, and the second-place school, White House High School in White House, TN will be awarded $500. Congratulations to both schools.
