CIGNA Corporation hereby amends its Current Report on Form 8-K filed June 23, 2005 (the original Form 8-K) pursuant to instruction 2 to Item 5.02 of Form 8-K to provide information that was not determined or available at the time of the report. The original Form 8-K was filed to report the appointment of Isaiah Harris, Jr. and Roman Martinez IV to the Company’s Board of Directors.
 
Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.
 
Effective July 27, 2005, the Board of Directors of CIGNA Corporation appointed Mr. Harris to its Corporate Governance Committee and People Resources Committee and Mr. Martinez to its Audit Committee and Finance Committee.
