On April 3, 2008, Somanetics Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release, furnished as
Exhibit 99.1. In the press release, the Company announced that its Board of Directors has
authorized the Company to repurchase up to $15 million of its Common Shares. The Company expects
to fund its repurchase program with existing cash and cash equivalents on hand.
