Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On June 1, 2012, Peter Linsley, Ph.D., Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of AVI BioPharma, Inc. (the “Company”), effected his resignation from his position with the Company. The Company had previously disclosed Dr. Linsley’s intention to resign from his position with the Company in a Form 8-K filed April 12, 2012.
