Item 8.01 Other Events.
On October 8, 2004, Dynacq Healthcare, Inc. issued a press release announcing that its indirect wholly owned subsidiary Vista Hospital of Baton Rouge, LLC had filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. A copy of the press release issued by Dynacq Healthcare, Inc. regarding the bankruptcy filing is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is incorporated herein by reference.
