Taina Sopenlehto appointed as head of Metsos Human Resource Management
(Helsinki, Finland, October 18, 2004) Taina Sopenlehto (43), Ph.D, has been appointed Senior Vice President, Human Resource Management of Metso Corporation (NYSE: MX; HEX: MEO), as of January 1, 2005. Her responsibilities include the definition of Corporate level focus areas of Metsos human resource management, management of human resource core processes and the development of leadership competences required by Metsos strategy. Taina Sopenlehto will report to Jorma Eloranta, President and CEO of Metso Corporation. Currently Taina Sopenlehto is Vice President, Human Resources at Wärtsilä Corporation.
