On October 20, 2010, Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”), the holding company for Berkshire Bank, announced: (1) its financial results for the period ended September 30, 2010; (2) the declaration of a quarterly dividend of $.16 per share; and (3) information pertaining to its proposed acquisition of Rome Bancorp, Inc.  The press release containing these announcements is included as Exhibit 99.1 and shall not be deemed “filed” for any purpose.
