Item 8.01       Other Events

On July 18, 2006, Intermec, Inc. issued a press release announcing the settlement of the remaining pending intellectual property disputes with Symbol Technologies, Inc. (“Symbol”).  The disputes are the subject of two law suits between Symbol on the one hand and Intermec Technologies Corporation and Intermec IP Corp. on the other, both pending in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.  In the settlement, the parties agreed to dismiss without prejudice all claims in these two cases.

The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
